The mass rollout of the Digital ID (SDID) is currently underway in Kamonyi, Ruhango, and Muhanga Districts in the Southern Province, as part of the government’s efforts to modernize public services, improve accessibility, and enhance security and efficiency.

During the rollout, NIDA provides hands-on support for pre-enrollment and enrollment to residents who are registered in the system. This practical approach helps build trust and confidence among citizens.

The Digital ID offers key benefits, including easier access to services, time savings, improved security, portability, and stronger support for national development. Overall, this initiative demonstrates NIDA’s commitment to digital inclusion and highlights a people-centered approach to Rwanda’s digital transformation.
